Ari Kruger is a Cape Town–based director and writer known for sharp, character-driven comedy with heart.

He rose to prominence directing the hit web series SuzelleDIY and the multi award-winning Tali’s Diary (Showmax), earning three SAFTA awards for Best Comedy Director.

His feature debut, The Shakedown, was the first South African original film commissioned by Amazon MGM Studios. He has since directed on the Netflix crime drama Bad Influencer.

He is the co-creator, director and showrunner of FLOW for Amazon Prime.
